Miami is set to receive a striking addition to its skyline with the planned James Hotel & Residences Miami, an ambitious $850M project slated for an 82-story tower.

This luxury development is a collaboration between Mint Developers and Sonesta International Hotels, featuring 336 residential units and 200 hotel rooms. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with an expected completion by 2028.

The tower will offer fully furnished condos for sale, a spa, private cabanas, and a four-story private club, along with the unique inclusion of snow and rain rooms. The restaurant and bar will be the highest of its kind in the Americas, further highlighting the luxurious feel of the project. As Miami continues to see an influx of supertall developments, the James Hotel & Residences will stand as a significant marker of the city’s growth.

This will also mark the first U.S. construction for The James brand by Sonesta, adding to the chain’s expanding presence in major U.S. cities. Miami’s skyline is rapidly changing, with projects like the Waldorf Astoria (set to rise 1,000 feet) and Citadel headquarters under development, signaling the city’s increasingly prominent architectural profile.
