Report: Miami May Already Be Benefitting From New York Primary Election

Miami’s real estate market is already showing signs of activity linked to the recent New York primary election, according to a report from Funds Society.

Zohran Mamdani, who recently secured victory in the New York City Democratic primary, is now considered the leading candidate for mayor. Mamdani has expressed intentions to raise taxes on high-income earners and corporations if elected.

In response, Funds Society reports that Miami is experiencing a noticeable increase in fast-paced property sales.

“Some buyers are acting with urgency, spurred by concerns over potential policy changes in New York,” Peggy Olin of Oneworld Properties told the outlet.

She noted that these individuals are not merely speculating on the market—they’re planning to make Miami their new home.
