Falcone Group has proposed a 53-story, mixed-use tower as the latest project in the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter.

The city’s Urban Development Review Board approved plans for Miami Worldcenter Block C, located on the 0.68-acre site at 155 N.E. 10th St., on March 20. The vacant property list located just north of the parking garage for the Paramount Miami Worldcenter condo.

Boca Raton-based Falcone Group, led by Art Falcone, is one of the prime partners that has led development of the Miami Worldcenter district. While it has sold many parcels to other developers to complete, it hired Coral Gables-based Nichols Architects to design to hotel and condo tower for itself.

“The Falcone Group is thrilled to be embarking upon yet another iconic tower in the heart of Miami’s downtown,” stated Alfonso Costa Jr, chief operating officer of the Falcone Group. “With the city’s continued growth and an ever-increasing desire by people to invest, live, work and vacation here, we are confident this condo-hotel project will meet the mark and exceed the most sophisticated of expectations when it comes to luxury living.”

Costa added that the condos would be able to go into the building’s short-term rental pool.

Under the proposal, the project would total 726,408 square feet, with 280 hotel rooms, 351 luxury condos, 3,500 square feet of retail, 8,000 square feet of restaurants and 331 parking spaces.
