Riverside Wharf, a $350 million hotel and hospitality development, has officially broken ground on the Miami River.

The project, located at 114 S.W. North River Drive, is being developed through a partnership between MV Real Estate Holdings, Driftwood Capital, and Merrimac Ventures.

The 200,000-plus-square-foot destination will feature the 167-room Dream Miami hotel, a 30,000-square-foot nightclub topped with a Las Vegas–inspired rooftop pool day club, a 12,000-square-foot event venue, and 16,000 square feet of restaurant space.

Developers say the project is set to elevate the Miami River District into one of South Florida’s top entertainment hubs. It will also deliver public benefits, including a new riverwalk that supports the city’s long-term plan for pedestrian access along the river and an upgraded sea wall to address rising sea levels. A pop-up Garcia’s Fish Market will add a local touch with fresh seafood offerings.

Driftwood Capital’s COO, Carlos Rodriguez Jr., noted that Riverside Wharf aims to become a signature hospitality and entertainment destination as Miami continues to attract new residents, visitors, and investment.

Moss Construction is serving as general contractor, with Cube 3 Architects and Gensler leading design. Completion is slated for fall 2028.

Miami voters approved updates to the site’s land lease in 2022, paving the way for the redevelopment of the 1.5-acre parcel. The previous waterfront dining venue on the property closed in 2023 to make room for the project.
